Post Covid Assessment Service
The Post COVID Assessment service is a therapy led assessment and treatment service for those who are experiencing ongoing symptoms for eight weeks or more after a confirmed or suspected Covid-19 infection.
About us
The service supports with a range of symptoms, these are most commonly: breathlessness, fatigue and brain fog however symptoms vary with each patient.
The service takes a therapy led approach supporting with symptom management and have access to a medical consultant to discuss ongoing, more complex requirements or investigations where necessary.
Rehabilitation support for patients within the service may include Respiratory Physiotherapy, fatigue management, vocational rehabilitation or clinical psychology. The service also work closely with other agencies such as:
- Shared harmonies – breathing retraining programme
- Live Well Wakefield
- Aspire Health
- IAPT
- Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy services
