The Medicine Speciality of Psychology provides care to patients experiencing physical health difficulties under the care of Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust.
About us
Please note: This is not a crisis service for urgent mental health needs. If you are feeling at risk to yourself, you are advised to contact your local community mental health crisis team or Emergency Department/GP. Please see the list of local crisis team phone numbers on our ‘link to others services’ section.
Who is the service for?
The Medicine Speciality of Psychology provides care to patients experiencing physical health difficulties under the care of Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust.
We provide assessments of patients, carers and families to identify existing or developing mental health difficulties. We also provide therapeutic support through illnesses and treatments.
We may refer you to other services which we think will be helpful.
We do not see people under 18 years old, or anyone not currently under the care of a Consultant Physician within Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust Division of Medicine.
