Community Dental Service
We provide a consultant led service for referred children and adults with special requirements who cannot be seen within the General Dental Service.
Mouth Cancer Awareness
November is mouth cancer awareness month.
During the month, we're helping to raise awareness mouth cancer, a disease that can affect the lips, tongue, cheeks and throat so you can put preventative measures in place.
More than 2,300 people in the UK die from mouth cancer every year. Many of these deaths could be prevented if the cancer was diagnosed early enough. Spot the signs and learn more today.
About our service
We provide specialist-led dental care in paediatric and special care dentistry. The care is provided under the terms of the National Health Service (NHS) and current charges are displayed on posters in waiting areas.
Referrals are accepted from general dental practitoners, doctors and other health care professionals for patients that are unable to access or receive routine dental care in a general practice.
Not all clinics are open every day but if you have a query please contact the Newstead House Wakefield clinic where staff will be able to assist with any matters.
We strive to deliver a positive change to the oral health of the Mid Yorkshire community by providing a caring, individually-tailored service each and every time.
