Relocation of Intensive Care Unit back to Gate 30

Our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Pinderfields Hospital has moved back to Gate 30 following a temporary relocation to Gate 38A.

Please be aware of this if you are planning to visit friends or relatives in ICU. Gate 30 is located on Level C.

Gate 38A is a temporary building that has been constructed next to our Emergency Department. This is to accommodate our patients whilst upgrade and maintenance works take place within the hospital.

Initially, Gate 38A has been configured as a 16-bed facility to allow ventilation, maintenance and other upgrade works to be undertaken in ICU and Haematology (Gate 21).

Once these works are complete, the ward will be reconfigured into a 40-bed ward allowing further works to proceed in the remaining Gates, continuing over the next few years until early 2027.
