Mid Yorkshire Hospitals makes national shortlists
The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust is delighted to be nominated for two Student Nursing Times Awards.
The Trust’s School of Nursing and Healthcare Leadership, which is in partnership with the University of Bradford, has been shortlisted as Partnership of the Year, with the Trust nominated for Student Placement of the Year.
Len Richards, Chief Executive of the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, said: “I’m thrilled with our success; to be shortlisted for two national awards is a fantastic achievement. These awards are a chance to recognise not only our successful collaboration with the University of Bradford, but also to celebrate the exceptionally hard work of our team to enhance student placement experience.
The School of Nursing, which recently received 100% overall satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2021, is now in it’s fourth year, with the first cohort of nurses graduating during the COVID-19 pandemic in May 2021.
Len continued: “We are delighted to have this month welcomed our newest intake of student nurses to the School of Nursing and wish them all the best for their future careers.”
“I’d like to thank all of our staff, and those at the University of Bradford, for your excellent efforts and good luck for the awards ceremony.”
The Student Nursing Times Awards aims to showcase excellence in all specialties of student nursing, whilst shining a light on the lecturers, universities, NHS Trusts and private organisations going the extra mile to support student nurses on their journey.
The winners will be announced at glittering awards ceremony on Friday 27 May at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
