All hands in for a better future
By making changes to everyday actions, together we can make a positive difference to the environment, to our health and to the wellbeing of our communities.
Tackling climate change together
All great journeys start with an idea, a question, someone willing to step and act first. And to support our journey to achieve carbon net zero by 2038 at Mid Yorkshire, we’re committing to making fundamental changes to the way we work, through increased investment, mitigation and culture change throughout the Trust.
Therefore, we're taking climate change into our own hands. Alongside our colleagues across the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership (WYHCP), we're supporting the ‘All hands in for a better future’ campaign. By making changes to everyday actions, together we can make a positive difference to the environment, to our health and to the wellbeing of our communities.
What you can do
There are lots of things you can do to help contribute to making a difference. Things like turning off equipment and lights when they’re not in use, opting for meat-free Mondays and more plant-based meals, consuming less plastic or changing the way you get to work might seem like a drop in the ocean, but the greatest challenges are best tackled when we all make small changes, together.
Visit the ‘All hands in’ website to learn how you can help.
Make your pledge
What action will you take to live and work more sustainably? Remember even small changes can add up to make a big impact.
Make your pledge for a better future by changing an everyday action and contribute to making a positive difference to the environment.
