Local hospital achieves accreditation success
The Mid Yorkshire Hospital NHS Trust is delighted to have successfully achieved independent accreditation for its high-quality gastrointestinal endoscopy services at all three of its hospital sites.
The JAG accreditation (Joint Advisory Group on GI Endoscopy) provides independent and impartial recognition that a service demonstrates high levels of quality and was awarded to the Trust after a significant and in-depth voluntary assessment process.
During the assessment process teams across the Trust ‘s endoscopy service demonstrated how they met all of the necessary quality and assurance standards.
Len Richards, Chief Executive at the Mid Yorkshire Hospital NHS Trust said: “I am really proud to announce that our Trust has achieved JAG accreditation on all three sites for the very first time.
“This is fantastic news for the service and our patients as we continue to provide a high level of care for our local community at all three of our hospitals (Pinderfields, Dewsbury and Pontefract).
“As part of the feedback, the lead assessor noted that throughout the assessment Trust staff demonstrated honesty and transparency, with a shared culture of ambition, with positive feedback from trainees and patients alike. This is fantastic to hear and the end result reflects the dedication, hard work and drive of everyone involved.”
