SAS Week Steph Baker

Hello, my name is Steph and I’m an SAS Doctor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

I’ve worked at the Trust since 2019 and been an SAS Doctor since March 2022.

I love my role and what I am learning from it. The stability has allowed me to pursue areas of interest, which will benefit both me and the patients of Mid Yorkshire. In particular, I am working toward becoming an accredited Colposcopist.

My role involves caring for women before, during and after their pregnancies. To be involved in such a momentous time in a woman’s life is a privilege. My areas of particular interest are early pregnancy, cute Gynaecology and Colposcopy.

Becoming an SAS doctor has meant I am more able to offer continuous care and can see patients at many steps along their journey in the hospital. I have been given the opportunity and support from my department to broaden my skills to better serve our patients.

I look forward to my future here at Mid Yorkshire.
