What are your plans for the festive period this year?

Busy! It's my birthday on 23rd December, so spending that and Christmas with family before being on call Boxing Day. New Year will be spent with friends eating cheese and playing board games.

What’s your favourite festive dish?

Savoury - roast parsnips, the king of the roast vegetables. Sweet - I love Christmas cake, especially the recipe I inherited from my mum.

What’s been your best present ever?

I still remember the bike, I got aged about 14.

What’s your favourite Christmas song?

Hark the Herald Angels Sing is my favourite carol, reminding me of my time in the school choir singing in Salisbury Cathedral. Modern Christmas song - Christmas Time by The Darkness.

Tinsel or twinkly lights?

Probably the lights - less hoovering afterwards.

Do you have a favourite Christmas tradition?

Ice cream on Christmas Eve!

Tell us a Christmassy joke.

How does Good King Wenceslas like his pizza? Deep-pan, crisp and even.
