Pathology

What is it?

Our pathology department is where laboratory tests are carried out. These play a crucial role in the medical decisions our doctors make about patients’ health, from diagnosing a condition through to therapy and prognosis (this is a doctor's judgment of the likely or expected development of a disease or of the chances of getting better).

Urine and blood tests are the most commonly used samples and provide a lot of information about a patient's health, from detecting a pregnancy to evaluating the function of your liver.
